With the new lockdown rules which began on Thursday 5th November Whippersnappers have amended our timetable of activities to meet new government guidelines and to keep our families and staff safe.
Baby and Toddler Music classes
It is with great sadness that Whippersnappers have cancelled our baby and toddler classes for the second half of term. With our Brockwell Lido site having to close due to falling into the category of gyms and recreation we felt that 140 families passing through our college Lodge site would be too high risk with the R rates rising.
We do understand that for many families a weekly visit to Whippersnappers is important for their mental health and well-being. We are therefore offering some weekly support groups for families in need. These groups will take place at College Lodge in Dulwich Park for a maximum of 5 families per session. There will be a short music session and a chance to socialize and the sessions will last 1 hour. There will also be an opportunity to talk through any problems privately with a staff member should you feel the need to share problems or need additional help or advice. These sessions will be open to all families in need – examples may be single parents, families with children with additional needs, families experiencing domestic violence, first-time Mums / Dads, Mums suffering from postnatal depression, Mums or Dads that are struggling to cope with lockdown or struggling with depression or poor mental health.
If you would like to attend please email firstname.lastname@example.org and we will arrange for you to join a support group. These sessions will be free of charge with the option of making a donation.
Should the R rate go down and government guidelines change Whippersnappers will deliver Christmas workshops at our Brockwell Lido site week beginning Mon 14th December. These sessions will be booked as individual sessions.
