Whippersnappers runs two different Saturday Clubs for Lambeth and Southwark residents.
Lambeth residents 11 – 18 yrs – 30 weeks a year during term time (referrals only)
Southwark residents 16 – 29 yrs – 1st Saturday of the month (open access booked via the EEQU system)
Southwark Saturday Club
Whippersnappers have secured another year of funding from Southwark to run our Choose What We Do Social Club specifically designed for individuals aged 16 to 29 with EHCP plans in Southwark. This club is open access and it’s bookable through the EEQU link.
The club is based at our Brockwell Lido site and takes place on the first Saturday of every month.
Activities can include: cooking and independent skills, music, creative arts, sports, IT, trips out and work experience.
Lambeth Saturday Club
Whippersnappers Saturday Club is designed for 11 to 18 year-olds with SEND and we offer 10 sessions each term. The club takes place at College Lodge in Dulwich Park and in the Brockwell Lido in Herne Hill from 10am to 2pm. Young people are picked up and dropped off at home by the Whippersnapper minibus or taxis.
The club encourages independent living skills and socialising with peers. On site we love cooking together and trying recipes from all around the world. When we’re not on site we are on trips out, recently we have been to the Barbican Centre, Bowling in Brixton, the Science Museum, the Cutty Sark, Streatham Odeon, Kew Gardens and the Horniman Museum.
Young people are referred to the club through Lambeth CWDT.
